Mid-Valley Development Professionals
Mid-Valley Development Professionals (MVDP) serves professionals in Oregon’s Mid-Willamette Valley who raise funds for nonprofit organizations. MVDP links development professionals in the Salem, Albany and Corvallis areas with others in the development community and provides affordable opportunities for professional growth and development.
Since holding its first general membership meeting in February 1998, MVDP has grown to more than 100 members. We meet on the fourth Thursday of each month (unless holidays intervene) and our meeting topics are those of interest to nonprofit development officers, including planned giving, foundation grants, board development and motivation, special events, strategic planning, public relations and capital campaigns.
MVDP has taken a leadership role in sponsoring Leave a Legacy, a community-wide, public-awareness campaign to encourage people to include charitable giving in their estate plans.
